We need your help to get more than 15k signatures by july 1, 2024.
Petition Summary - Part 1, 2, 3
North - Change city ordinance to comply with the majority of San Diego City and County beaches - Dogs on-leash before 9am and after 4pm. Surfrider to Breakwater.
South - Make “Wet Sand” beaches south of Tyson St Park accessible off-leash when tide permits.
Allow service dog access to our beaches.

We are looking for people interested in giving back to the community, making an impact and getting in the game. Help by standing up and volunteering for something that is very rewarding and help give back to the community.
Volunteer Coordinator - be a primary point person for volunteer interactions and creating an experience for the team.
Circulation Manager - help get volunteers onboarded with form 9609, manage distribution of petitions and collecting signed petition forms.
Event Coordinator(s) - help build awareness around various signing events, volunteer appreciation events and city events like Pride by the Beach, Independence Parade, Sunset Market…
Petition Circulators - collect signatures with our goal to get 150 volunteers over the age of 18.
Business Outreach Volunteers - Interface and attract O’side businesses for support and signings.
Political Outreach Volunteers - navigating and managing political interactions with the city.
Communications Volunteers -
Media Contact - write press releases, engage the press, be the face of the effort for news inquiries.
Social Media - postings and engage influencers
Web Site Content Manager - keep everything running smooth, add content and tools to run this petition.
Collateral Manager - develop, write and produce various printed materials needed.
Graphics Designer - help brand our mission and build designs to support our various needs.
